Yay for Daddy!

June is always a special month for Jarrod, as it holds both his birthday and Father's day.  This year we were able to celebrate Jarrod's life at my sister's house with 3 cakes (and 2 more cakes a couple days later with Jarrod's family)!  I need to adjust my belt after all this dessert!

 Just a few days later, we were blessed to celebrate Father's day with Jarrod's dad and grandfather of *almost* 90 years.

We hope Jarrod knows what a wonderful daddy and husband he is - we are so thankful for him in our life!

 On June 10th, my sister went into the hospital to have a c-section and welcome our sweet nephew, Shaun Steyaert into the world.  In the meantime, Jarrod and I played with her other sons - Stephen and Scott - and got a feel of what life would be like with three little boys.  These boys had fun, fun, fun together!

 Get ready, Shaun! These boys know how to play and can't wait to have you join the fun!

First Haircut!

I was getting complaints that my son had a mullet... so we finally decided it was time to take scissors to his virgin hair. 

I thought it would be difficult to keep him still (and it was) but discovered that a little water to splash his feet in was a great distraction. 

What a big boy! :)

So much to do!

We are really enjoying our time at Aunt Denise and Uncle Peter's house - there is so much to do!  There are toys and more toys, kids to play with, grass and a swing set to play on, fish to look at, and dogs to terrorize!
First, a shout out to the best dog ever!

 Marc LOVES Roxy and lets her know every time he sees the "dog-gie".

And Roxy just takes whatever Marc dishes out, completely unphased.

 First bath in a big tub!!! He is growing up so fast!

In just 2 days, this summer trip has been so full of fun and new experiences.  We are still trying to adjust to the time zone (Marc was up at 4:45am ready to go, poor Mommy!) but hopefully we will get on track soon.  Really, we just can't wait for Daddy to get here to play with us.  He flies here on Tuesday - so please pray for a safe flight! Looking forward to catching up with many of you soon!
