Hey! That doesn't go in a suitcase!
Yesterday, we got Jarrod all packed up to return to Korea for the school year and then this morning at too-early o'clock, I drove him to that airport to say "goodbye for now". Marc and I will be joining him in two and a half weeks so that we can go visit Grandma Mari and Marc can meet Grandpa Tim, Aunt Kristen, and Uncle Jeremy. We already miss Daddy SOOOOO MUCH and ask that you please keep us in your prayers! For Jarrod, especially in these next 24 hours as he flies half way around the world back to Korea. For Marc and me as we drive to Northern Maine with my sister. And for our family as we will miss each other and look forward to our reunion in Korea. WE are looking forward to all that this coming year will hold and move forward resting in the Promise that God is with us, even on the far side of the sea!

Marc is 5 months old
Marc is 5 months old today - it is amazing to see how much he has grown and changed in these past 5 months. Here are some of my favorite pictures from this past month:
At 5 Months, Marc:

We are soaking up every moment with Marc - we love him so much!
At 5 Months, Marc:
- still likes to be held facing out to see the world
- loves to smile and laugh at his daddy
- enjoys cuddling and napping with his mommy
- squeaks and screeches to test out his vocal range
- puts all his toys in his month
- drools more and more every day
- holds his own hands a lot
- enjoys the water
- is captivated by lights.. and is mesmerized by the TV and computer
- likes to get his diaper changed... and really to just be naked
- LOVE LOVE LOVES being outside
- is outgrowing most of his 3-6 month cloths, and sometimes fits into 9month clothes!
- weighs 18 lbs (i think...) and continues to grow longer and longer
- sleeps for about a 8-11 hour stretch at night (with one... or two.. quick feedings)
We are soaking up every moment with Marc - we love him so much!

a month in review
July has gone by in a blink and it is hard to believe that it is almost over. Sorry for the lack of blog posts to those who faithfully check this page for updates, we have been living every moment to the fullest and sleeping the rest of the time. :) We have had a wonderful visit with family and friends. This month we have attended parties for birthdays and babies to come, shot off fireworks, napped in many different beds, took lots of pictures, ate lots of yummy food, played in water, and soaked up some sun (with our sunscreen on, of course).
Jarrod is leaving for Seoul on Wednesday to get back to work; Marc and I will miss him so much! for the 2+ weeks we will be apart. Please keep us in your prayers these next few weeks: for Jarrod's safe flight back to Korea, for peace in that country, and for our family as we are apart.
