Massanutten!

Every winter, my parents gets a timeshare at Massanutten and gathers as many as can come to enjoy the activities that are on the mountain as well as just time "away" from the busyness of life. This year, my parents were met by all their children, except for Caleb - who is off at the Air Force Academy, to spend this past weekend with them. It was a delightful time to reconnect with my siblings and their families - and again, enjoy all that is offered on the mountain. Some skiied (I wish I could!), some went to the water park, some played in the arcade, some swam in the pool, some played cards and other late night games in the timeshare. One of my favorite memories was when all the guys (Dad, Jarrod, Peter, and Craig) stormed the basketball courts and took on some (younger) guys in an intense game. The guys worked together really well... and schooled those teens. It was fun to watch, and to have Stephen and Victoria as prime cheerleaders for the match! :)
We left with memories of fun times together, good conversations, and a renewed sense of the blessing of family.

CCS Lions

The CCS basketball season came to end this month, and while I am looking forward to having my husband around more - we both really enjoyed it; Jarrod coaching and impacting these young guys lives in positive ways - and I enjoyed being their fan, getting to know CCS parents and the guys so I could cheer for them, and showing my support for my husband.
I also really enjoyed seeing Christiana cheerlead! :)
It was a great season, with the team defeating more opposing teams than the ones they lost to. The boys learned and grew as basketball players and matured through the season - it was evident to everyone. I know the students and parent are looking forward to next season. Go Lions!
