December has come in with a whirlwind - and 7 basketball games since the beginning of the season - we are finally looking toward Christmas break. We have 1 week of school left, and for JV boys basketball team, one more game to play against Seoul American High School, the Army base school here in Seoul. 
Jarrod busy with JV boys basketball, seeing definite improvement in individual players and the guys working together as a team. They have faced some tough opponents and obstacles, and have come out with a 4-3 record thus far. The guys are looking for an intense game at SAHS on Thursday. Here are some highlights of the JV boys in action at a couple of away games:
The JV Lady Guardians played their last game before Christmas break this afternoon - performing well - scoring their highest team total yet, and bringing their season record to 6-1.
Each game we see a different leader in scorers, and it takes the entire team to contribute to a win. I am very proud of the JV girls basketball team, as they have had definite improvement this season (ie. we couldn't get the ball to the basketball rim from the free throw line at the first practice... now we are making the crucial shots in games!)

It has been so fun getting to know these students outside of the classroom - as they all have such unique stories and backgrounds. I have really enjoyed seeing the girls come together as a team, and learn valuable lessons, such as good sportsmanship and teamwork.
