One of the special events at YISS that we look forward to every year is the International Bazaar - where venders and individuals have the opportunity to sell new or used goods while the different members of our community showcase their own cultures through food, dress, items for sale, activities, and performances. It is a great time to see just how multicultural our school community is - and what a privilege it is to interact with all of these people on a regular basis.

Jarrod manned the Bouncer for the first volunteer work shift of the event.. Marc and Emmalyn were not disappointed with his choice of "duty". :)
The kids enjoyed games and good food... and then were taken home for naptime by Daddy so that I could enjoy the cultural performances. Pictured below are a Hula dance representing Hawai'i, USA by three of Marc's friends and a Japanese performance... just two of many incredible performances!
