It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I know, I know, you are thinking that we have broken the "wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate" rule. BUT. I live in Korea, and the Korean thanksgiving was in September. :)  No, really - we really enjoy the Christmas holiday and in an attempt to fully enjoy this season, we decided to decorate (...two) weekends ago.
Marc was really helpful (and Jarrod was REALLY patient) putting together our tree this year.
Marc thought that the Christmas lights were great, and really liked putting all of the "balls" on the tree.  He found a nice branch and would stick them in... only occasionally launching one into the next room. :)
Marc thoroughly enjoyed setting up the decorations, and surprisingly, he is leaving the tree and ornaments alone now that we have them on the tree.  At least once a day, he will point at the tree (generally when he wakes up in the morning) and say "Wow!"
This Christmas season is extra special for us as we get to share it with our son.  He still doesn't really get the concept of presents, but knows that he gets to play with some new "toys" that light up and play fun music.  He is really a "blank slate" when it comes to what Christmas is all about - it is a joy to teach him that Jesus in the reason for the season!
Marc just saw this picture and said, once again, "Wow!"
May you enter into this holiday season with renewed wonder at the miracle of Christ's birth as you share the joy of Christmastime.

love to see your house decorated for Christmas. The one of Marc looking at the manger scene is so cute. We have many happy memories of Christmas with family at church and at Mom-mom and Pop-pops. Family is wonderful!
