This past Friday was the annual YISS Fun Fest - "Hawaiian Style"- put on my the school's PTO. It was great to get up to the school to see Jarrod interacting with students, to see teachers and families that I don't interact with every day, and - of course - to PLAY games! This part was really new for us - Marc has been too young to participate much in the past.. so it was fun to see him get into it!
Each of the Elementary school classrooms have a booth with some sort of game for kids to play and win prizes. The Middle school homerooms also have booths, as well as some of the high school clubs.
Marc enjoyed the tattoo parlor, deep sea fishing, and the face painting the most.
Emmalyn was a champ - hanging out with me in the carrier and smiling and charming all passers-by.
Marc was quite pleased with the doggie on his cheek. :)
What a big boy!
I am always impressed at the hard work put in to this event - the turn out (not just school members, but also others in the International community in Seoul) - the food - and the performances! One of my sweet friends did a Hawaiian dance with her daughter, the students performed songs as well as several of the teachers. It was a great night at YISS!
